The article dwells on the main problems of collateral insurance and possible solutions to them, with special emphasis on the definition of insurance sum. The article also provides new ways of improving the collateral insurance by using the new combined insurance product, which includes not only traditional collateral insurance but also insurance against interruptions in production process.

В статье выделены основные проблемы залогового страхования, предлагаются возможные пути их решения. Особое внимание уделяется определению страховой суммы в залоговом страховании, а также предлагается совершенствование залогового страхования посредством разработки нового комбинированного продукта залогового страхования.
