Abstract

The paper presents the dynamics of the S100 protein, neuron-specific enolase and endothelin-1 level in acute period of severe craniocerebral injury (SCCI), and the comparative evaluation of these proteins in the early prediction of septic complications and disease outcome. In predicting the outcome of SCCI very good quality of prediction model is validated for S100 protein, good quality of prediction model — for neuron-specific enolase, a mean quality prediction model — for endothelin-1. Significant predictive value for early prediction of purulent-septic complications has not been shown for all proteins.
