The motif complex of the N. S. Leskov artistic prose of the beginning of the 1860s causes originality of the content, genre form, poetic, system of images of works. There are archetypical and social-historical motifs. The author realizes in his works the Christian conception of the world and person, therefore the religious motif of the saving is leading.
