Деятельность Сталинградской археологической экспедиции (1951 - 1957 гг. )

Abstract

Анализируются достижения и издержки деятельности археологической экспедиции на Нижней Волге по проведению охранно-спасательных раскопок в зоне затопления Сталинградской ГЭС. Несмотря на короткий срок, учёным удалось частично сохранить ценные археологические материалы по истории практически всех народов, населяющих Нижнее Поволжье, начиная с каменного века и заканчивая XIV в., и придать мощный импульс дальнейшим исследованиям
