Abstract

The paper considers the application possibilities of the program Standard statistics in the comparative analysis of the microstructure parameters of loamy and loess grounds of the key areas in the southern East Siberia and adjacent territories. Microstructural parameters were determined by the new method Microstructure, developed in the Analytical Center of the Institute of Earth Crust SB RAS. The materials on seven objects including loamy river and lake bottom sediments, Irkutsk loess grounds, Primorye brown loams, Mongolian loess grounds and clay from the region of Birobidzhan are reported. It is established that the characteristics of the microstructure and the nature of their variability are the genetic criterion for the engineering and geological evaluation of grounds.
