Abstract

Статья посвящена исследованию образа «русского Фауста» в романе «Герой нашего времени» М.Ю.Лермонтова. Образ главного героя — Печорина рассматривается в контексте его сопоставления с одним из ярких персонажей немецкой литературы — доктором Фаустом. На основе сделанных выводов выявляются общие характерные черты, роднящие Печорина с Фаустом.

The article analyses the image of “Russian Faust” in M.Y. Lermontov’s “A Hero of Our Time”. The portrayal of the main character Pechorin is compared to one of the most prominent characters in German Literature — doctor Faust. The common features that link both of the characters are outlined in the conclusion.
