Учитывая структурный анализ категории «интеллектуальный капитал», необходимо отметить недостаточность ИРЧП для оценки данного феномена в разрезе его влияния на экономику региона, так как он учитывает только одну составляющую интеллектуального капитала человеческий потенциал и не рассматривает показатели, отражающие его вторую составляющую структурный капитал. Для построения адекватной оценки интеллектуального капитала предлагается индекс интеллектуального капитала, интегрирующий в себя составляющие ИРЧП и индекс экономики знаний.

Taken into account the structure of the intellectual capital and its impact on the regions economy, its necessary to remark that the HDI is not enough to measure the intellectual capital, because it considers only on part the human potential, and doesnt represent its second part the structural capital. Therefore the sufficient measurement of the intellectual capital could be represented by the Intellectual Capital Index which includes the components of the HDI and KAM indexes.
