Article is devoted to methological notion of a category «work» in the science of the criminalexecutive law. The causes of nonprovision of all convicted by possibilities of work during their confinement are analyzed in it, as well as the ways of how to eliminate such problems are shown. It is underlined that at the present time of market economy in Russia process of creation of industrial bases and the centers of work adaptation of condemned after their release is essentially slowed down. The purposes of labour employment of condemned which can be achieved by carrying out of a complex of a full complex of educational work and projects are determined.

Статья посвящена методологическому значению категории «труд» в науке уголовноисполнительного права. В ней анализируются причины необеспечения всех осужденных трудом в период изоляции от общества, вносятся предложения по их устранению. Подчеркивается, что в условиях рыночной экономики в России существенно замедлен процесс создания производственных баз и центров трудовой адаптации осужденных после освобождения. Определяются цели трудовой занятости виновных, которые могут быть достигнуты проведением комплекса всех мероприятий по воспитательной работе с осужденными.
