Abstract

Impact of dimensionality of dynamical Langevin model on an accuracy of predicted fission characteristics is studied within a multidimensional stochastic approach to fission dynamics. It is shown that the impact of incorporation of K-coordinate (orientation or tilting coordinate) is much stronger than impact of variation of scaling factor Ks that reduce the contribution from “wall” formula in one-body mechanism of nuclear dissipation. These results point out that K-coordinate is one of the most important collective coordinates in fission dynamics and should be incorporated into the model for an analysis of fission characteristics of heavy-ion induced fission.
