Abstract

Deformation of titanium samples moving through orthogonally crossed channels under inertial and dynamic loading has been numerically investigated. Computations have been carried out by the finite element method in the context of the elastic-plastic medium model. The advantage of dynamic loading is shown and the optimum initial velocity of the sample and loading pressure are determined.
