Abstract

This article presented the results of a sociological study of complementarity of legal and clinical regulators of psychiatric services using a case study method. The material of the study is based on complaints and appeals of mentally ill patients to various authorities, including the courts. One of the most essential examples illustrating the gaps in modern legislation was described. Comments and conclusions of the study can be used to improve legal regulatory work of psychiatric services.
