Abstract

The article discovers influence stressed state of "boundary layer"on strength and crack growth resistance i n conti nuous connections and j oi nts of different-wal led construction elements. Those elements are simulated as cylindrical shells and plates with constant and variable thickness. Current estimation is provided as refinement of basic calculation formulas for unbroken flanged, welded and adhesive joints. These formulas are used to define geometrics on design stage based on non classical theory of shells and fracture mechanics.
