Крупнейшие города в период глобализации

Abstract

In recent decades we have seen a worldwide trend to increase the number of cities, their consolidation and the desire of the population to live in them. About half of the world population lives in cities. The article considers the main aspects of the concept of «globalization». In addition to this the development strategies of the largest cities and its competitive advantages are shown. This article represents the analysis of the largest cities' development at the globalization period and the impact of globalization on the processes in the world.

В последние десятилетия отмечается всемирная тенденция к росту числа городов, их укрупнению и стремлению населения в них проживать. Около половины населения земного шара живет в городах. В статье рассмотрены основные аспекты понятия «глобализация». Представлены стратегии развития крупнейших городов и их конкурентные преимущества. Проведен анализ развития крупнейших городов в период глобализации и влияния глобализации на развитие мегаполисов.
