Abstract

The paper is devoted to the problem of the development of concise learners’ English-Russian and Russian-English dictionaries of terminology for foreign language training in engineering universities. It describes the aim and objectives of the dictionaries, their structure and contents, terminology selection principles, the notion of a term, the entry, as well as various application spheres of the dictionaries designed under MADI Strategic Development Programme.

Статья посвящена проблеме составления учебных англо-русских и русско-английских терминологических словарей-минимумов для обучения иностранному языку в технических вузах. В ней рассматриваются цели и задачи словарей данного типа, их структура и содержание, способы отбора терминов, определение термина, состав словарных статей, а также сферы применения словарей-минимумов, разработанных в соответствии с Программой стратегического развития МАДИ.
