The article is an attempt to determine the location of the methodological approaches of petroarheology and zooarchaeology within the established methods of archaeological research. The essence and the tasks of petroand zooarchaeology as an independent directions, are revealed and the prospects for their development on the example of the monuments of the Stone Age in Trans-Baikal are considered.

Статья представляет собой попытку определения места методологических подходов петроархеологии и зооархеологии в рамках устоявшихся методик археологического исследования. Раскрываются сущность и задачи петрои зооархеологии как самостоятельных направлений, а также рассматриваются перспективы их развития на примере изучения памятников каменного века Забайкалья.
