Abstract

The subject matter of this research is perception viewed as the psychological activity of the subject. Each time we perceive the world we construct the image which corresponds to the aims, tasks and means, presented in this particular activity. The pictures do not contain any image themselves and the image we get is not a priori. The research with ambiguous pictures demonstrates that image is formed through schematization. Thus the perception of one and the same picture will be different depending on the conditions in which the activity is fulfilled.
