Abstract

To investigate the adequacy of the reaction centers of the brain that control the locomotor system, studied blood flow in the middle cerebral arteries in 68 patients with closed fractures of various segments of the limbs under treatment by the Ilizarov method, 42 patients with a delay in the longitudinal growth of one of the limbs at different stages of their operational adjustment length control group consisted of 70 healthy volunteers. When limb injuries during treatment observed acceleration is not only the regional blood flow, but blood flow in the MCA contralateral side. With increasing age of patients, the reaction becomes less pronounced. During the operative limb lengthening in its inherent lag in the growth acceleration adequate cerebral blood flow was observed only in patients with acquired pathology and no congenital shortening. With additional work the forearm muscles intact side flow velocity at the middle cerebral artery on the same side adequately increased in patients with bone fractures in patients with acquired shortenings before treatment and significantly reduced and reduced operational during leg lengthening.
