Abstract

A modern tool of statistical analysis Panel Data Analysis applied to estimate the influence of air pollution on mortality rates from lung cancer in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Data for the analysis is processed data from statistical reporting forms of territorial agency of the Federal Service for State Statistics Republic of Bashkortostan (Table C51 “deaths by sex, age groups and causes of death” and “2TP Air”) for the period 2002-2014 years. The results are particularly valuable because they allow taking into account the features of areas in clusters in detecting the effects of chemical air pollution on mortality from lung cancer.
