«Il penseroso and L'Allegro» Л.

Abstract

The article contains the comparative analysis of the poem «Il penseroso and L'Allegro», which was created in 1830th by English poet and play-writer Barry Cornwall and its Russian interpretation done by D.L.Mikhalovskiy in 1872. it is noted that Russian interpretor preserved all key moments of the poem, and at the same time reflected his own social position, his society conception and which place a person take in it. D.L.Mikhalovkiy radically changed the ending of the poem, where is a description emphasized easiness, causticity were replaced by the image of human existence, pierced by typical gloominess completely opposite to the nature's admiration.
