Abstract

Phonetic characteristics of performing W. Shakespeare’s works in modern standard pronunciation and original pronunciation are analysed in interconnection with the non-verbal aspect. The author arrives at the conclusion that each pronunciation variant is performed within a certain non-verbal context and that style of pronunciation and non-verbal style of behaviour are interdependent in communication.
