Abstract

Cervicogenic headache is a chronic hemicrania associated with cervical diseases and disorders of bone structures or soft tissues. The efficiency of hirudotherapy has been estimated in patients with cervicogenic headache. Application of hirudotherapy results in improvement of cerebral blood circulation, muscle tone normalization, and effective reduction of the headache intensity.
