The analysis of external and internal sanitary-and-hygienic and epidemiological threats for the territory of the Karachai-Cherkess Republic in connection with the occurrence of new risk factors connected with the emergence of new infectious diseases and re-emergence of infectious diseases considered to be liquidated, with the growth of migratory activity of the population, international passenger and freight traffic, tourism development have been made. The high activity of risks epidemiological, sanitary and natural genesis, the presence of constant threat of importation of dangerous infectious diseases and importation of sanitary-dangerous cargoes have been noted. Despite the general stabilization of epidemiological situation in the Karachai-Cherkess Republic, acute enteric infections are wide spread. On the territory of health-resort zone of republic is located the natural focus of plague. The main directions of work of the Rospotrebnadzor Board for the Karachai-Cherkess Republic to maintain and improve sanitary protection of the territory of the republic which can be urgent as well for other subjects of the Russian Federation either have been substantiated.

Проведён анализ внешних и внутренних санитарно-гигиенических и эпидемиологических угроз для территории Карачаево-Черкесской республики в связи с появлением новых факторов риска, связанных с возникновением новых и возвратом считавшихся ликвидированными инфекционных болезней, с ростом миграционной активности населения, международных пассажирских и грузовых перевозок, развитием туризма. Отмечена высокая активность рисков эпидемиологического, санитарного и природного генеза, наличие постоянной угрозы заноса опасных инфекционных болезней и завоза санитарно-опасных грузов. Несмотря на стабилизацию в целом в КЧР эпидемиологической обстановки, имеют широкое распространение острые кишечные инфекции. На территории курортной зоны республики расположен природный очаг чумы. Обоснованы ведущие направления работы Управления Роспотребнадзора по КЧР по обеспечению и усовершенствованию санитарной охраны территории республики, которые могут быть актуальными и для других субъектов Российской Федерации.
