Abstract

Volgograd is a major industrial center. Industrial facilities are concentrated in the city have industrial solid waste landfills, ponds, storage and evaporation ponds of industrial effluents in areas adjacent to urban areas. The functioning of a large number of companies followed by the natural secretions of large amounts of technical and industrial waste waters, contributing to changes in load-bearing capacity of soils, increasing soil salinity and water chemical aggressiveness.
