Abstract

The requirements for the social sciences, their methodological grounds, for scientific practical recommendations, the scientific integrity of specific representatives of these sciences are updated in modern conditions. The most urgent is the problem of accounting continuity in the development of science, because our official social science, particularly philosophical and economic, made a truly “bare denial”, which always and everywhere leads not forward but backward. The article presents manifestations of the backward motion in economic science: actual rejection of a systematic approach; expulsion of the objective economic laws from the textbooks and the weakening of the essential analysis; ignoring the positive experience (domestic and foreign) in solving the pressing problems of our economy; arbitrary distortions of the theoretical and methodological positions, accumulated in the history of economics. All the above phenomena adversely affect the practice of managing our economy. The author illustrates this by the example of the anti-inflationary state policy.
