Abstract

Terminology search is a leading activity in the process of translation of specialized texts. The use of computer monitoring software allows studying the process of terminology search, translation decisions and identifying the causes of the terminological mistakes. Typical types of translators’ activities, their optimal balance in the course of terminology search, and correlation between their distribution, translation quality and translators’ competence are revealed in the experiment.
