Abstract

The paper examines the terminological combinations, as well as steady combinations of comparative character referred to phraseology. For this purpose the author defines distinctions between these language units and conditions of development of figurative, phraseological meaning at the specified types of phrases. It is established that all the considered types of steady combinations of comparative character, as well as those which incorporate participle or an adverbial participle, belong to the phraseology sphere, in view of their lexical indivisibility, exressive-emotional coloring and idiomatic and integral meaning.
