The article considers a representation of the linguistic picture of the world in A.P. Chekhov's creativity from the positions of allocation of spatial-temporal characteristics of a steppe landscape in it. The analysis of the lexical means used by the author for creation of steppe space has shown that the certain set of lexicon allows him to create his own linguistic picture of steppe close to him due to some personal reasons.
В статье рассматривается репрезентация языковой картины мира в творчестве А.П. Чехова с позиций выделения в ней пространственно-временных характеристик степного пейзажа. Анализ лексических средств, используемых автором для создания степного пространства, показал, что определенный набор лексики позволяет ему создавать свою, близкую по каким-то личностным мотивам языковую картину степи.
