Abstract

The article examines the experience of creating and implementing gender programs in the U. S. preventing juvenile delinquency, their scientific assessment and obstacles to their effectiveness. Among the most important issues to be addressed are paucity of gender programs and a lack of adequate training for professionals to work with delinquent adolescent girls.
