Abstract

Investments into prospecting and oil-extracting branches are fraught with big risks. Actually project risks are often analyzed at the pre-investment phase when technical assessment and valuation of oilfield development is prepared that is when carrying out prospecting works. Development of fields withhard-to-recover oil reserves under uncertainty conditions predetermines risk management. The methods and strategies of risk management should be comprehensive, it is crucial to take into account interrelation between risks and planned results.
