Abstract

The author analyses state social policy in the countries of Western Europe with special emphasis on FRG and Sweden. Until the end of the 20th century, these countries were considered exemplary ones in solving social problems and primarily in realizing the principle of social justice. The author also points out internal and external policy factors causing a decrease in state social subsidies, opportunities and limits of social policy in the framework of market economy.
