Религиозно-просветительная деятельность православного духовенства среди нерусских народов Поволжского края в конце XVIII начале XIX в

Abstract

The article is concerned with reasons that led in the end of XVIII beginning XIX centuries to a decrease of religious enlightening activity of orthodox clergy among non-Russian peoples of the Povolzhsky Krai. A concise but thorough account of measures taken by the Russian Orthodox Church to improve the current situation is provided.

В статье выявляются причины, приведшие в конце XVIII начале XIX в. к ослаблению религиозно-просветительной деятельности православного духовенства среди нерусских народов Поволжского края. Автором анализируются меры, принимаемые Русской православной церковью, по улучшению ситуации в данной области.
