Abstract

The problems of traditional identity, including religious one, attract attention of researches quite often, but the peculiarities of religious situations in the regions are still insufficiently studied. The article studies the policy of the Soviet Union that has influenced decisively the religious landscape of the Black Sea coast. The author also discusses the religions situation in the region.
