Abstract

The paper considers the problems of transition of human societies into the state of complexity. The features of the social complexity that change our life are discussed. The complex social realities require consequently new models of thinking, theoretical perspectives and new types of sociological imagination. The author argues for the introduction of the non-linear and humanistic sociological imagination into the social sciences as an effective instrument to analyze the complex socium.
