The article attempts to clarify the existing definitions of the terms used in the study of legal and illegal processes of mergers and acquisitions of companies. The author reveals the peculiarities of corporate raids in modern Russian economy from a perspective of security of a company. The substantiated practical measures to combat illegal raiding at the stage of its prevention, implementation and impact are the focal points.

В статье предпринята попытка уточнения существующего определения терминов, используемых в исследовании легальных и нелегальных процессов слияния и поглощения фирм. Раскрыты особенности рейдерства в современной отечественной экономике с позиции безопасности фирмы. Обоснованы практические меры борьбы с нелегальным рейдерством на этапе его предотвращения, осуществления и последствий.
