Abstract

The article addresses the problem of interrelation between the communicative competence in the Russian language and that of the English language caused by improper formation of general speech mechanism. It reports new findings concerning the critical importance of the native language communicative competence and the impact it has on plurilingual competence development in the process of foreign language teaching and learning.
