Abstract

The author presents an original interpretation of the origins of "American uniqueness", starting with the first third of the XVII century. The processes of political and religious development of the North American colonies were accompanied by the search for American identity and the formation of core values of the new nation. Great importance was paid to Protestantism on American land and its various denominations. In general, the "American uniqueness", which later extended to the political sphere, has spiritual origins associated with the historical past of the United States, the religious consciousness of the nation, and it is firmly entrenched in social practice.
