Abstract

Analysis of using functional electrical stimulation of muscles (FES) in patients with spinal cord injury has been presented in the article. Biomechanical methods have been applied for estimation of efficiency. Application of FES promotes to formation of more right biomechanical and innervation structure of gate. Main and temporal characteristics of walking are improved. Electromyographic pattern of muscles is normalizes. Stability during walking is increases; particularity in additional support is decreases.
