The paper deals with the history of the all-Union society of inventors, created in the pre-war five-year periods as a mass public organization of innovators in production. The novelty of the research consists in the fact that the author shows the necessity of creation, peculiarities of activity, causes and consequences of the liquidation of the society.

В статье рассматривается история Всесоюзного общества изобретателей, созданного в годы довоенных пятилеток как массовая общественная организация новаторов производства. Новизна работы состоит в том, что автор показывает необходимость создания, особенности деятельности, причины и последствия ликвидации общества.
