Концептуальная метафора как механизм формирования переносных значений сложных существительных в современном английском языке

Abstract

Рассматриваются вопросы формирования переносных значений сложных существительных N+N. Переносные значения таких сложных слов формируются за счет обращения к концепту, определяющему исходное значение сложного слова, информации, передаваемой контекстом, и действия когнитивных механизмов «концептуальная метафора» и «развитие».

This article deals with the aspects of formation of figurative meanings of compound nouns N+N. Figurative meanings of these compound nouns are analyzed based on concepts determining original meanings of compounds, contextual information and such cognitive mechanisms as conceptual metaphor and elaboration.
