Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare results of medication for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) aggravation in the presence or absence of coronary heart disease (CHD). We have undertaken a retrospective study of 502 case reports of COPD patients hospitalized because of COPD aggravation. CHD was diagnosed in 29,3% of patients with COPD. Concomitant CHD limited the administration of bronchodilators. The most common medication given to COPD patients with concomitant CHD was combined bronchodilator ƒ2-agonist+m-cholinoblocker (berodual). Theophyllin was less common (p
