Abstract

The article dwells on the policy of tsarist Russia in referance to the Moslemic clergy after the conquest of Middle Asia by Russia in the second half of the XIX-th century. Designing on the premise of scientific works and archive data the author manifests the role and influence of the clergy exerted over the population's life in Middle Asia, the northern area of Tajikistan inclusive. He unveils the reasons accounting for the alteration of the policy of the tsarist government in regard to the Ferghana valley.

Статья посвящена политике царской России в отношении мусульманского духовенства после завоевания Средней Азии Россией во второй половине XIX века. На основе сведений научных трудов и архивных данных показана роль и влияние духовенства в жизни населения Средней Азии в т.ч. в северных районах Таджикистана. Автор раскрывает причины изменения политики царского правительства к исламскому духовенству после ряда восстаний в Ферганской долине.
