Abstract

The author considered the soul definition and individual worldview choice problems in modern Russia from a perspective of increasing worries about society’s spirituality state. The author analyzed and compared the said category definitions accepted in various historical epochs: before Bolshevik revolution, in Soviet and post-Soviet times. There is also analysis of suppositions that could lead the society to define a balance between culture’s material and spiritual constituents.
