Abstract

The method of estimating the statistical characteristics of ice drift and pressure (including the extreme values of low probability) based on the model simulation results is considered in the paper. The physical-mathematical statement of the ice dynamics model is described. The model is based on the non-stationary momentum balance equation with viscous-plastic parameterization of the internal interaction force. The numerical realization of the model is based on the method of markers. The set of simulations carried out with the help of the model allowed obtaining 1750 matrices with 12 hour averaging. The statistical methods of estimating the extreme values of low probability based on the principles of scattering ellipse (for ice drift) and Gumbel distribution (for ice pressure) are described. The conclusions present the interpretation of the results obtained. The maximum values of ice drift correspond to the thinnest ice, while the maximum values of ice pressure correspond to the first year medium ice.
