The article covers the primary directions of innovative renewal in the field of housing. It studies the problem of housing society formation and functioning as an organizational novation. The attention is given to the creation of regulatory and information conditions and mechanisms of public monitoring and control over the processes of innovation implementation in housing.

Рассмотрены основные направления инновационного обновления жилищной сферы. В числе организационных новаций исследована проблема создания и функционирования жилищно-строительных кооперативов.
