Особенности функционирования фразеологических единиц в современном французском художественном тексте (на материале романа Катрин Панколь «Желтоглазые крокодилы»)

Abstract

The study of the author's phraseology allows to identify typical structural models of phraseological units which exist in the modern French language, phraseological activity of their constituent components, their distribution according to stylistic registers. Peculiar features of functioning of phraseological units in the French literary text of the 21st century are examined on the material of the novel The Yellow Eyes of Crocodiles by the modern French writer Katherine Pancol. An exhaustive sampling of the first 300 pages of the novel gave the opportunity to select 430 phraseological units, the analysis of which allowed us to draw the following conclusions: 1) the most frequent structural type are non-predicative verb units; 2) the most common component should be considered a somatic component; 3) a large part of the phraseological units are neutral or colloquial; 4) the comparison of the studied Ph U and data of the New French-Russian Phraseological Dictionary shows that in the text there are idioms that are not recorded in this lexicographical publishing, as well as PhU which differ in their form or meaning of idioms presented in the dictionary.
