Abstract

Acquired defects of hard and soft palate appear during a persons life, so most of them occur in adults heavy. Often the cause of the defects are surgeries on various tumors, and the elimination of their consequences is provided mainly through the prosthesis. The purpose of prosthetics for this pathology is to restore lost functions. Features prosthetic patients depend on the size and location of the defect, on the condition of remaining teeth, the degree of mouth opening and the presence or absence of scarring of soft tissues surrounding the defect. On the example of a clinical case shows how substitution acquired defect of the hard palate by making occlusive part fixed to an existing clasp prostheses. The evaluation of the findings of the orthopedic treatment.
