Abstract

We compared and analyzed parameters of body weight composition in highly qualified female runners and female students attending PE classes twice a week. Experimental group included middle distance runners qualified as Masters of Sports and Candidate Master of Sports (n = 15). Control group included female students attending PE classes twice a week (n = 15). Both categories of girls were 18-21 years old. The research was conducted in the conditions of plain. Training process was aimed at development of local regional muscle endurance. Training procedure included gravitational and ballistic exercises, moving activity on exercise machines, swimming, stretching, sauna and massage. Obtained parameter values underwent statistical analysis. Comparison of values revealed significant changes in 10 parameters. Study of key morphofunctional parameters in female runners and female students showed significant differences in adipose tissue volume at relatively similar total body dimensions in studied groups.
