Abstract

The article dwells on the cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the field of transport communication. It is marked that with taking into consideration the stretch (1344 km) of the Tajik frontier the Tajik state can be regarded as one of the major transit ways to Afghanistan, It is this very aspect of cooperation that accounts mainly for the construction of bridges over the frontier Pyandge river, development of roadnetworks and infrastructure. For today five bridges have been built already, one more bridge is in the process of erection.
