Abstract

Symbolization is the process of creating (at the level of the public conscious) and assimilating (at the level of the individual conscious) notions-symbols, concentrating on the general form of the meaning of their specific characteristics as «super important» or «unreal». Notions-symbols have the function which differs from any other notion, because they play the role of the universal indicators, which lead the subject of the cognition towards the meaningful context, which shouldn't be simply indifferen tly perceived, but need rethinking, assessment, some interpretation. In the frame of the different psychological approaches the problem of the symbolization is considered and evaluated in different ways. That's why it seems important and interesting to analyze our reference towards the notionssymbols at the example of the psychoanalysis (Z. Freud) and their interpretation by the foreign scientists (C. Jung, А. Adler, E. Ericson, E. Fromm), their interpretations were premises of this category and contributed to the transfer of the symbols to the integrative level which allows to evaluate in different ways the mechanisms of the symbol development and symbolization.
