This article is devoted to the analysis of the basic directions in work of the hall of arts of the South-Ural state university is opened as division of a formed university which should become a basis for development of the concept of its exhibition and educational activity. For five years of its work there was held more than fifty exhibitions on which products from funds of the Chelyabinsk museum of arts, Chelyabinsk branch of the Union of painters of Russia, creative association «Guild of masters», private assemblies of painters and collectors were submitted. Especially it is necessary to note expositions of the Russian Academy of arts and the State Russian museum.

Статья посвящена анализу основных направлений в работе Зала искусств Южно-Уральского государственного университета, которые должны стать основой для развития концепции его выставочной и образовательной деятельности. За пять лет работы зала состоялось более пятидесяти выставок, на которых были представлены произведения из фондов Челябинского музея искусств, Челябинского отделения Союза художников России, творческого объединения «Гильдия мастеров», частных собраний художников и коллекционеров. Особо следует отметить экспозиции Российской Академии художеств и Государственного Русского музея.
